CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION -- DESIRED RESULTS SYSTEM TRAINING

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and California Department of Education (CDE) Desired Results (DR) System Training offers a virtual training series for administrators on the Desired Results System to improve program quality. The training model includes 13 virtual, facilitated training sessions, each ranging from 1 to 3 hours, for professional growth. Additionally, Q&A sessions will be offered.  These sessions will take place between October 2026 and May 2027.

The administrator training incorporates an overview and in-depth information about the DR system; the implementation of the system at the classroom, program, and agency levels; reports, including analyses of self-evaluation data and quality-improvement data; and additional support on specific system components. Participants can also complete online modules available at California Early Childhood Online (CECO) (www.caearlychildhoodonline.org).

The training session for administrators includes methods to support DR system implementation, along with updates, new products, and job aids. Please register for these sessions in advance.

Administrator Status

* New administrators have NOT attended DR Regional Training previously or in the last five years. New administrators are required to attend training sessions on October 7-8, 2026, and April 8, 2027.

Participants will earn professional learning hours per session attended.
