Regional Desired Results System Training (Invitation Only)

The California Department of Education, Early Education and Support Division's (CDE/EESD) Desired Results (DR) Regional Training will offer hybrid-training for new administrators. The hybrid-training model includes one-day, in-person in October and April training sessions with online training throughout the year to complete the training. The in-person training sessions will consist of an eight-hour day offered in two separate locations. Experienced administrators will be offered a two-hour webinar in September explaining changes to the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DROP) and a twohour webinar in May on changes to the Program Self-Evaluation.

2016-17 Desired Results Regional Administrators Training:

New Administrators

New administrators are those who have not previously attended the DR Regional Training, or who have not attended in the last five years. Experienced administrators are those who have attended the training within the last five years. Experienced administrators may not attend the new administrator training unless recommended by a CDE/EESD, Field Services Office (FSO) consultant.

New administrator training consists of an overview and in-depth information about the entire DR system; assistance in the implementation of the system at the classroom, program, and agency levels; information on reporting including analyzing self-evaluation data and using data for quality improvement; and additional support on specific components of the DR system. Participants will complete selected online modules found at (CECO).

Registration for new administrators will be on a first come, first served basis determined by the following priorities:

  • New CSPP contract awardees
  • Recommendation of CDE/EESD FSO consultant
  • New program directors and site supervisors
  • New administrators responsible for conducting the agency's professional development

Experienced Administrators

A two-hour session for experienced program directors or administrators responsible for conducting the agency's professional development will be held via webinar in September and May only. These online training sessions, for experienced administrators, will include ways to support implementation of the DR system, updates, and new products and job aids. Registration is required.
